Panel Includes:
Degenerative Myelopathy Test: DM is a degenerative disease of the spinal cord characterized by muscle weakness in the hind limbs. This disease can eventually lead to paraplegia.
Uric Acid Test: Hyperuricosuria, or elevated uric acid level in the urine, is inherited as an autosomal recessive disorder and is characterized by the formation of bladder stones and occasional kidney stones.
Multidrug Resistance Test: MDR1-affected dogs are at risk of developing neurologic symptoms from several common drugs. Find out if your dog is affected.
Coat Length Test: DNA testing for varying coat-length genotypes is available for many breeds. Long-haired coat length is inherited as an autosomal recessive trait.
K Locus Test: This test reveals whether a dog is solid-colored, carries the recessive gene for agouti patterns, or can fully express agouti colors.
A Locus Test: This test identifies whether your dog will be recessively black or carries the gene that can produce solid black coats in certain breeds.
AY Locus Test: This test shows whether a dog has or carries the gene that produces fawn or sable coat colors.
E Locus Test: Most often used to determine the relationship between the Black (dominant) to Yellow (recessive). Tells whether your dog is genetically yellow or just carries the gene for lighter coat colors like cream, red, or apricot.
B Locus Test: This test reveals whether your dog will be chocolate-colored or if it carries the chocolate gene that can show up in future litters.
D Locus Test: This test shows whether a dog’s coat color will appear diluted (like blue, silver, or lilac) or whether it carries the gene for these lighter shades.
AT Locus Test: This test shows whether a dog has or carries the gene that creates tan-point, phantom, or tri-color coat patterns.
