Breedwise dog DNA tests use a simple cheek swab collection. Each kit includes clear instructions and multiple swabs to ensure enough DNA is collected for accurate testing.
How do I get my DIY kit instructions?
Once you purchase a kit, detailed sample collection instructions will be emailed to you. If you do not receive the emailed instructions, you can download them here.
Do I need to know my dog’s breed to order a test?
Yes & No- While our testing is bred specific, we offer a variety of testing that can be run on any breed. If your dog’ breed is unknown or mixed, Breedwise testing can still provide valuable insights depending on the test selected.
How long does it take to get results?
Turnaround times vary by test, but most results are delivered within days (5 business days for trait and disease testing and 10 business days for parentage and profiles), after your dog’s sample is received at our lab. Specific timelines are listed on each product page.
