How can I be sure I collected the DNA correctly?
The kit we send you contains complete instructions for collecting your dog’s DNA safely and effectively. Please follow all instructions carefully and do not return the Breed Identification kit back to DDC (Breedwise). DDC does not run or have access to this testing.
Can the Breed Identification test tell if my dog is a Pit Bull or Pit Bull mix?
“Pit Bull” generally refers to a genetically-diverse group of breeds that are characterized by certain physical traits. Since this group is so genetically diverse, “Pit Bull” is not a breed detected by the test. However, the breed test will detect breeds like American Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier, Mastiff, Bullmastiff, Bulldog, and various other terrier types.
Can the Breed Identification test detect wolf, coyote, or hybrids of either?
Yes, the test detects wolf and coyote wild canids.
Can I return the test?
All returns must be made within 30 days from the purchase date. The complete unopened kit box must be returned to: DDC Veterinary at One DDC Way, Fairfield OH 45014 with a copy of the emailed receipt. Only the testing fee is refundable; shipping charges will not be refunded.
